“Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.”

Parenting Facilitation
As a parent facilitator, Rhonda Cates acts as a court appointed neutral third party for high conflict families in order to refocus parents on their children’s needs, both emotionally and physically. Generally, the facilitator will meet with both parents individually and then jointly, and children (with or without the parents) but may also make home visits, review reports and written information, and consult with others involved with the family. After a full review, the facilitator reports back to the courts as to each parent’s progress and contributions. Therefore, it is important to note that this process is not confidential.
Despite being court ordered, parents who truly commit to this process can minimize the trauma of a divorce on the children. Most parents can reduce the arguing, establish an agreed parenting plan, learn to communicate and acquire negotiation skills for the future.
If you have not been court ordered for parent facilitation, but would still like help with parenting skills, consider Parent Coordination with me instead.
